2019 Periodic Table 150th Anniversary 1oz Silver Proof Coin

This 1oz silver proof coin celebrates the 150th anniversary of the creation of the periodic table.

Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, often referred to as the Father of the Periodic Table, is credited with formalising the arrangement of the chemical elements in 1869. By grouping the known elements in order of increasing atomic weight he developed a principle which he called the Periodic Law. This led to the realisation that certain types of elements occurred regularly, confirming their resultant pattern, or periodicity.

Each coin is meticulously struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, and issued as Tuvalu legal tender.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 3,000 of the 150th Anniversary of the Periodic Table 2019 1oz Silver Proof Coin.
