Located in the heart of the city, this building is where Australia’s federation was debated, (Dame) Nellie Melba debuted and The Beatles played to an adoring crowd. The Melbourne Town Hall bears the imprints of a community life across generations of Australians and is now featured in the Royal Australian Mint’s 2012 Capital Town Halls coin series.

The Royal Australian Mint has produced this specially made coin for the 2012 Australasian Numismatic Dealers Association Show in Melbourne. This exclusive coin features the Melbourne Town Hall as the central element of design.
