2006 Victoria State Government Five Dollar Silver Proof Coin

In 1856 the States of NSW, Victoria and Tasmania were granted Self - Government and their own State Government. This historic event the Royal Australian Mint has released these beautiful crafted silver proof coins in celebration of the state development through colonial days to Statehood. These coins are strictly limited to only 12,500 coins and are first in a series of silver coins to be released celebrating all states and territories as their anniversaries are acknowledged in the coming years.
