2021 Twenty Cent 35th Anniversary of Animalia Gold Plated Coloured (20c) Uncirculated Australian Decimal Coin

Animalia is a classic Australian children's book, written and illustrated by Graeme Base. 

Celebrating its 35th anniversary in 2021, the much loved book has now been captured on a coloured 20cent coin for posterity.

This is the first release in a new series that will celebrate a different classic Australian children's book each year.

First published in 1986, more than three million copies of Animalia have now been sold worldwide.

The book has since been turned into a television series and adapted for babies with My First Animalia.

The Royal Australian Mint has partnered with the Children's Book Council of Australia to release this coin, the first of a new series.
