Description

Anzac Day – April 25 – is recognised as a ceremonial occasion to reflect on the cost of war, a day of commemoration for all Australian and New Zealand soldiers who died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations, and the contribution and suffering of all those who have served on behalf of their country.

The design on this uncirculated $1 coin portrays two members of the Australian Intelligence Corps analysing enemy force locations on a map. A bugler in silhouette, the inscription ‘Lest We Forget’, and the date April 25 are also incorporated into the design.

The coin is presented in a specially designed display card, which features a fold-out stand for upright display, and portrays an image of a member of the Australian Intelligence Corps in front of the Canungra War Memorial in Queensland. Each card incorporates the coin’s numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
