Description

On 1 July 1915 the Commonwealth of Australia officially accepted responsibility from the State Governments for all landfall and coastal lights around Australia. Today the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is responsible for maintaining aids to navigation at some 388 sites around the 37,600 kilometres of Australia’s coastline.

This uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing the coin’s reverse and obverse designs. The coin is issued as Australian legal tender.
