An essential for anyone who owns its $1 counterpart, the Last Two Dollar Limited Edition Pack offers that same attractive combination of history, presentation, quality and, best of all, value.
Driven from use by inflation, and by the obvious contrast in cost efficiency when compared with a possible $2 coin, the $2 note was consigned to history in 1985. It was last issued during the Johnston/Fraser signature combination. The $2 coin that replaced it was crafted from aluminium-bronze, and was rightly thought to be a more durable, more economical alternative to the paper note. Issued in Australia’s bicentennial year, the new $2 recognised the nation’s indigenous cultures, with the design featuring a tribal elder beneath the Southern Cross.
Headlined by premium grade examples of these crucial types, protected behind archival quality bubble for long-term preservation, this presentation spans both sides of Australia’s currency crossroads.

The anticipated ninth release of the Royal Australian Mint’s Subscription Series highlights both an Australian and numismatic milestone –
it is a unique blend of the old and the new.
This coin celebrates 150 years of the Sydney Mint, by honouring one of its most celebrated coins, the
1855 Half Sovereign.
The 1855 Australian sovereign and half sovereign were the first sovereigns to be minted outside Britain. They were introduced at a time when the Gold Rush was shaping Australia's future and when there was a shortage of coins throughout the British Empire.
With the reproduction of this extremely rare masterpiece, in an exciting new setting, collectors have the chance to own a unique part of Australian history. The original 1855 Australian half sovereign has become one of the most sought after coins in the world. Whilst 21,000 were minted in 1855 few survived in good condition fuelling demand for one of the most desirable Australian coins in history.
The coin incorporates both frosted and proof finishes. It is made in fine silver (99.9%) with a proof finish to further emphasis the gold plated depiction of the 1855 Sydney Mint Half Sovereign. The coin is beautifully housed in a display case, with packaging that complements the tone of the coin.
The 2005 Subscription Coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which details the specifications and final mintage number.

The $1 coin features the ‘dancing man’, in Elizabeth Street, Sydney. The 50 cent design captures the sombre and reflective mood of remembrance and of the enormous cost of all conflicts. The 20 cent design of an Australian soldier, an ex-prisoner of war returning home and seeing family after many years apart. This years set is presented in a jarrah timber case and is accompanied by a numbered certificate of Authenticity and is limited to only 6,500 sets.

The Royal Australian Mint has just released the 2005 One Dollar Silver Proof Coin commemorating the 90th anniversary of the ANZAC landing on Gallipoli. The design of the coin has a silhouette image of an Australian bugler. This design is very plain and simple, but it portrays its message - ‘Lest We Forget’. The image captures the ‘sounds’ of the last post being played as the sun sets over the beaches of Gallipoli. Whilst commemorating the 90th anniversary of Gallipoli, the image of the bugler is the highly relevant in relation to all conflicts in which Australia has fought. The One dollar silver proof coin is presented in a stunning case, including a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
This coin has a limited mintage to only 20,000 and is minted from 99.9% pure silver.
