The Stamp and Coin Cover released by Australia Post and the Perth Mint depicts the lunar year zodiac theme: Year of the Rat. The Australian legal tender coin, depicting a striking image of two rats. The coin is mounted on a brightly illustrated card featuring a Chinese style image. The card and coin are presented in a coloured envelope featuring a circular window to display the coin. The envelope displays a Christmas Island stamps with a 50c and a $1.45 stamp.

Type Set Collection
The Perth Mint has released this type set coin collection to celebrate the launch of the new Australian Lunar Coin series. The set contains the four silver 1oz coins released, it comprises of the Bullion, Proof, Gilded and Coloured coins. The 2008 Year of the Mouse type set collection has been limited to no more than 1,500 collections being released. The Type set collection is presented in a red and black presentation case and comes with a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
