This is the first 1oz silver proof Holey Dollar and Dump set released by the Perth Mint. This coin is released to celebrate the Chinese lunar years. the reverse of the Holey Dollar depicts the 12 animals associated with china's anicent lunar calender. The dump coin is a gold plated silver coin with the words
Lunar New Year 2007 and Good Fortune & Prosperity.
This coin has a very limited mintage to only 8,888.

2007 Year of the Pig
1oz Lenticular Silver Coin
This amazing coin from the Australian Lunar Silver Coin Series celebrates the Year of the Pig with a lenticular image comprising 24 coloured frames of a young pig with mountainous scenery in the background. As the viewing angle of the coin is changed, the frames produce a movie-like sequence showing the pig walking on grass. The image is bordered by a stylised bamboo fence incorporating the Chinese character for 'pig' and the Chinese characters meaning 'well fed’ and ‘abundance'. This coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. Each coin is housed in a red leatherette presentation case, which is seated in red satin material inside a red display box bearing Chinese lettering on the lid. The coin comes with a Numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This coin will be made to order by The Perth Mint, with the final mintage declared 12 months from the official release date.
