2003 Golden Pipeline
Silver Proof Dollar Coin
To commemorate the centenary of the Golden Pipeline, The Perth Mint has released a specially designed silver coin with the support of The National Trust (WA), in which the historic pipeline and its associated infrastructure is vested for heritage conservation purposes.The reverse design of the coin features a coloured image of O'Connor and the inscription GOLDEN PIPELINE 100th ANNIVERSARY. Both appear within the shape of the famous 'locking bar', revolutionary Australian technology used to seal the pipeline's seams without rivets. This element of the design is set against a background of signatures of those who attended the 1903 inauguration ceremony, and the inscription 1903 - 2003.
The reverse design also includes The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark. The 2003-dated coin is struck from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality. A limited mintage of only 5,000 individual Golden Pipeline coins have been prouduced.

The year 2003 marks the 50th Anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To commemorate this significant milestone, The Perth Mint released a 1oz silver proof coin.The mintage is limited to 40,000 .
The 1oz coin is struck from 99.9% pure silver in proof quality, with colour incorporated in the design.
The coin features a coloured depiction of St. Edward's Crown surrounded by a decorative border and a representation of the breast star of the Order of the Thistle Badge.
The 1oz silver coin is displayed in a royal blue, flag shaped presentation case, with the Union Jack printed on the outside of the lid. The coin is accompanied by a serial numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
