Description

Three of Australia’s most recognisable bush creatures feature on these stunning silver coloured coins.

The kangaroo, koala and kookaburra are three of Australia’s most iconic and much loved bush creatures.

The kangaroo is the largest marsupial surviving on earth today. An unofficial symbol of Australia, the kangaroo features in the Australian national emblem alongside the emu.

The koala is a warm-blooded marsupial that lives mainly on the eastern coast of Australia. Dependent on whether it is found in the southern parts of eastern Australia or in the northern parts, its size and colour will vary.
The kookaburra is the world’s largest kingfisher. A stocky bird with a large head, short neck and blunt tail, it is known for its distinctive ‘laughing’ call. This carnivorous bird will eat almost anything, using its strong beak to catch a wide variety of prey including lizards, insects, small birds, and snakes.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,000 of the Australian Outback 2015 1/2oz Silver Collection

The kangaroo coin depicts an adult kangaroo in colour bounding across an Australian landscape at dusk, with the moon and trees in the background.
The koala coin's reverse depicts an adult koala in colour sitting in the fork of a eucalyptus tree, amid a rural landscape.
The kookaburra coin depicts an adult kookaburra in colour sitting on a tree stump surrounded by eucalyptus leaves and a fern.

This three-coin set is presented in a classic grey display case within an illustrated shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
