2014 The ANZAC Spirit 100th Anniversary - To Our Last Man 1/4oz Gold Proof Coin

2014 will mark 100 years since the departure of the convoy of ships which carried the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) and the New Zealand Expeditionary Force (NZEF), who would later become known as the ‘Anzacs’, from King Georges Sound at Albany. At this time the leader of the opposition party, Andrew Fisher, stated during his election campaign that “…Australian’s will stand beside our own and help and defend her to our last man and our last shilling.”
