2018 The ANZAC Spirit 100th Anniversary 1/2oz Silver Three Coin Set

The ANZAC Spirit 100th Anniversary Coin Series 2018 1/2oz Silver Proof Three-Coin Set features a trio of commemorative coins depicting symbolic images and themes from the final year of the First World War.

As the First World War came to a close in 1918 Australian troops began slowly arriving home to their families.
They also returned to a nation forever changed by the ugly truth of war as well as a fractured society harbouring great bitterness and division.

The struggles, both mental and physical, that troops had endured changed their lives dramatically. Many were condemned to a lifetime of suffering as they battled both physical injuries and the demons that haunted them from within.

The Battle of Hamel
The coin’s reverse depicts a representation of a tank being used as a creeping barrage, followed by four Australian soldiers. The design includes a red poppy.

The Eleventh of November
The coin’s reverse features two Australian soldiers celebrating the end of the war with a clock in the background marking the eleventh hour.

Return to Family
The coin’s reverse depicts the warm embrace shared by an Australian returned serviceman and his family as they welcome him home.

Edged lettering features around each coin’s rim with the words, “PRIDE • RESPECT • GRATITUDE •”.

The three-coin set is presented in a round plastic tray which fits inside a beautifully illustrated shipper featuring First World War photography, and is accompanied by a booklet containing information and imagery from the Great War.

The booklet contains a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
