2012 Wheat Sheaf 'C' Mintmark One Dollar Silver Proof Coin

In a continuation of mintmark themes to pre-decimal designs, as in the case of the Rams Head Dollar produced in 2011, the 2012 Mintmark Series will feature a replica of another Australian threepence coin design. The first wheat sheaf threepence design was in circulation from 1938 to 1964 and designed by George Kruger Grey. The design used on this coin reflects a hard working Australia that has enjoyed an expanding economy for the past 120 years due in part to the successful development of its primary industries.
