Two Dollar Limited Edition Premium Pack

This limited edition pack celebrates the changeover from the $2 note to the $2 coin. Included is the Last Prefix LQG $2 note, together with the 1988 First Issue $2 Silver Proof. Australia's first $2 note was issued in 1966, just 20 years after the first $2 note was issued, the greater durability and cost-efficiency of a $2 coin saw the Government withdraw the note from circulation. The last of its kind, the LQG Last Prefix $2 was rarely set aside at the time of issue. The $2 coin brought in to replace the note played both a practical and a symbolic role. Issued in 1988, the year Australia celebrated 200 years of white settlement, the depiction of the Aboriginal Elder ushered in a return of indigenous themes to Australian currency. This limited edition pack has been strictly limited to just 500 sets to be issued!
